Description
This activity combines the skill of solving quadratic equations by completing the square with a mystery. Students will use the clues they gather from correctly solving equations to solve the mystery of Who’s the Hero of Squaretown?
The heroes, villains, locations and rewards can all be customized within the download to further engage your students!
The download includes 16 full-color cards for you to print and hang around your room for a class activity. As students solve their problems, they look around the room for their answer to see what clue they should eliminate.
The activity contains 12 questions.
Each answer is associated with either a hero, a villain, a location or a reward. When a student gets the answer, that option is eliminated from the mystery. When they are finished, students will only have one hero, one villain, one location and one reward left, and they will have solved the mystery!
